After Chris's son, Brian, read the book, he easily understood the concepts and quickly learned guitar-playing. Brian's comprehension of the material convinced Chris to write a series of instructional books about playing the guitar. In the future, these books will be passed on to his children, as learning guitar will always be around as long as people are desiring how to learn to play guitar. 

He does not use fancy words or abstract concepts in his manuals. Instead, Chris explains the importance of learning common techniques, such as guitar strumming, if you want to play properly.
